I really really want a tattoo !!

Well hello there!

Right I have decided I want a tattoo this year. Well I decided I wanted one when I was like 12 but I have never really been set on what I want. My countless late night Tumblr, Instagram and Pinterest sessions have only aided my desire. It's a really big decision getting a tattoo and I don't really want to just to rush into it because at the end of the day you are stuck with it for life. I have considered all sorts of tattoos from really small one to full on phrases, but it isn't just the image I am thinking about it's also the placement. I know that I'd like something which isn't on show because I don't think that really goes with my 'image'. So I have decided that if I get something small I may have it on my foot. But if I was to have a phrase I haven't got a clue where it would go. I really like the idea of having it on my ribs, under my bust, on my hip or across my shoulder blade. Well I thought I'd share some of my ideas and inspirations with you guys to see what you think and which is best to hopefully make me come to the right decision.

Well what do you think??

Review || L'Oréal Paris Collection Privée Colour Riche Cheryl's Nude

Hello all,

Hope you are enjoying the start of the spring, I certainly am. Feel like summer is just around the corner now. Super excited! Popped into Boots a while back after reading a tone of reviews on L'Oréal's limited edition lipstick range of tailored nudes. Finding a nude lipstick can be difficult - what may be 'nude' on one person can be too light or dark on another. Which is why L'Oréal have called upon their celebrity spokes models to each release their perfect nude.

Cheryl Cole, Eva Longoria, Doutzen Kroes, Freida Pinto, Juilanne Moore and Liya Kedebe each worked with colour designer Orrea Light to develop a lipstick shade which compliment and enhanced their features. The collection is made up of six colours, one for each of the spokeswomen who are a mixture of ethnicities so their really is a shade for anyone.

I picked up the Cheryl shade as I feel she is probably the closest to my skin tone and we share brown hair and eyes. When I first put the lipstick on it was not easy to apply. I find sometimes with drugstore lipsticks they have a almost waxy layer which you first need to breakthrough before you can use the lipstick to its full potential. The formula is light and contains a hint of gloss so it is very comfortable to wear; it does not dry your lips out and can be reapplied regularly without caking or dragging. I also really like the smell it reminds me of 'old school' make up or really classy make up. The smell reminds me of going to my grandmothers and playing with her make up that was all Lancôme and Éstee Lauder.

The shade really is a 'your lips but better' shade it is very subtle and wearable light pink-brown with the tiniest shimmer in which just catches the light. Although it is a very generic shade I feel elegant when I wear this colour, so it gets a big thumbs up from me!! I love how understated this colour is, it add just a little something to any make up look with ease. It's not a groundbreaking lippy but with chezza's name on it I'm sure it will end up in handbags across the country.

#nomakeupselfie

Hello ladies

Hope you are all very well. I hope that you are all aware of the great work that cancer research UK does, it is a charity very close to my heart after they have help both my great auntie and great grandmother through struggles with breast cancer and my auntie with ovarian cancer. Cancer has affected each one of us either directly or indirect via a loved one or someone we know. There are over 200 different types of cancers each with different symptoms, causes and treatments. Ever three minutes in the UK someone is diagnosed with cancer that is roughly 331,000 a year. Cancer Research UK are the leading cancer charity in the UK who are dedicated to beating cancer through research. Due to their amazing work 400 lives a day are saved. The charity are unsure how the #nomakeupselfie started but over the past few days I'm sure your Facebook will have been littered with bear faced ladies. So far the hashtag has raised over £2million which is amazing which is why I tag all my lovely readers to reach out for your cleaner or face wipes and get that make up off your face and text 'BEAT' to 70007 and do a good thing today by donating to a very worthy charity, it's only £3 which is peanuts really. So go and do it and tweet me a picture to @daniellesblog or Instagram it to @dannisaint and use the hashtag #nomakeupselfie. Cancer we are coming for you!

NOTD || No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in So Simple

Hello There :)

No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in So Simple

I really do like No7 nail varnish, this is one of three I own. The formulation and brush do not disappoint!

The shade is a very light milky pink, it would look great as a nude on any skin type. The formulation is its fairly runny compared to Bourjois So Laque. Saying this though, it isn't watery. I only apply two coats and I'm good to go! The brush is great, it's wide so covers the whole nail nicely and doesn't leave streaks.

You can buy the polish for £6.00 in Boots stores nationwide or here

Book Review || Pictures of Lily by Paige Toon

Hellooo My Lovelies,

Will you marry me? I think of you, then. I think of you every day. But usually in the quietest part of the morning, or the darkest part of the night. Not when my boyfriend of two years has just proposed. I look up at Richard with his hopeful eyes.
‘Lily?’ he prompts.
It’s been ten years, but it feels like only yesterday that you left. How can I say yes to Richard with all my heart when most of it has always belonged to you? I take a deep breath and will myself to speak...
Ten years ago when Lily was just sixteen, she fell in love with someone she really shouldn't have fallen in love with. Now, living in Sydney and engaged to another man, she can’t forget the one that got away. Then her past comes back to haunt her, and she has to make a decision that will break her heart- and the heart of at least one of the men who love her.

OH MY BEJESUS!! I could not leave this book alone!! NO jokes this is the best book I have read in a very long time. Paige Toon creates a compelling story which draws you into the story, making it feel like you are living the characters lives.
Pictures of Lily is based on the story of sixteen year old Lily who is uprooted to Australia from England to live with her mother's new boyfriend, who she meet online! Obviously this didn't go down too well with her, as soon as she arrives in Adelaide she hates everything. This hate quickly reserves as she finds out her Mother's new love works at the local conservation park. Lily has always loved animals and is inspired to be a vet. She goes with Michael to work to take pictures of the animals and she eventually gets a summer job there. Now this is wear the story really begins!
At the conservation park she meets Ben, a co-worker, they soon hit it off due to their love of animals. From this little old Lily develops a crush which eventually turns into love. The book is written in first person so you instantly feel connected with Lily's feelings and feel sorry for her. The feelings are so strong for a man she knows she shouldn't have them fore - you can't help but sympathise for her. Paige Toon's style of writing really does allow you to engage with the characters and stories, which is what makes her books such a thrilling read.
I'm not going to spoil the plot, but the next few pages had me turning super fast! Major spanner in the works for Lily and Ben's relationship!
The book starts again but ten years down the line. Lily's life has mapped out rather well, she has a good job and is engaged to Richard, has a great group of friends and is living in Sydney. Another great thing about this book is that there is characters included from her other books.
Then BANG on day she sees Ben at Sydney Zoo where she is visiting with her step-sisters. Suddenly all the feelings come flooding back.
Again I am not going to spoil it for you. I think this is a great read and you defiantly should go and snap it up while you can. The characters are so easy to relate to and the story will have you in a whirlwind of emotion. The chemistry in the book is unreal it literally jumps out of the book at you!

Liebster Awards Number Two !!

Hellooo My Lovelies,
Huge thank you to Frankie from Frankies Weekend for my second nomination for the Liebster award! The tag is a great way to discover new blogs and to get involved in the blogger community !

So here are my answers for the questions
1. Who is your all time favourite blogger?

Well it has to be Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter. Firstly her posts are great and she write up on great topics. Secondly she has this amazing way of writing which makes it sound juts like she is talking to you !! I wish I could write like her, I do just love her a lot!

2. Perfect Snack

Right this is a 'don't knock it until you've tried it' snack. Peanut butter on granny smith apples, I like to slice the apple up and then spread peanut butter on them. YUMMMMM

3. If you had to give up all social media channels bar one, which would you keep and why?

I think I would give up all bar Facebook, because IG and Twitter aren't as personal. Also I message a lot of people on Facebook from home when I am at uni and it can let me video call them!!

4. What type of blog post do you enjoy writing the most?

I love doing reviews, I love reading them too. I like to make sure that I like a product before I got out and purchase it especially if it is a expensive item, like Tom Ford Make up etc.

5. Favourite high street brand?

You know what I don't think I really have one, I don't have that one high street store that every time I go into I find something I want or buy. Well Primark I guess I do every time but I don't really want to say it's my favourite, I'll always find something to buy in there!

6. What celebrity would you like to be for the day?

Victoria Beckham! Firstly because she is a fashion icon and knows literally everyone in that world. Secondly would you not want to stare at the beautiful man that is David Beckham?

7. What is your ultimate 'swear-by' cosmetic product?

Make-up whys it has to be Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and I am sure I am not alone when I say this!! It just a great product.

8. What inspires you about blogging?

Honestly, it's just the fact that people take time and effort to read my thoughts and views.

9. If you had to only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I would probably say Twilight, I just think it is the most romantic love story and has a beautiful ending.

10. Gym or running outdoors?

Gym, every time.

11. What do you want to achieve with your blog?

I want to be able to share my ideas and thought to a large audience, and maybe one day if I pluck up the courage start a youtube channel but that scares me a lot right now !!

My Questions:

1. Favourite nail colour?
2. Favourite season and why?
3. How do you organise your blog? e.g. planning posts
4. Can you cook, and what is your speciality?
5. Morning or Evening?
6. Gold or silver?
7. Favourite sweet treat?
8. Favourite childhood memory?
9. If you could only have one hair and one cosmetic product what would they be and why?
10. A phrase you find motivating or inspiring

My nominations are:

Review || Batiste Oriental Dry Shampoo

Hello Everyone,

I know I am bombarding you with reviews at the moment but I have A LOT of stuff to review!! Next up is a hair product in the form of a dry shampoo from Batiste in the scent Oriental. Now I am a huge fan of dry shampoo especially the Batiste ones. I usually go for the one with a hint of brown just because I am lazy and

First things first can we just take a moment to appreciate the design on the can, Batiste always have a good stylish pattern on the can but this is my favourite by far. I think this is just the most pretty design and goes perfectly with the scent.

The scent has taken its inspiration from the East. It is a pretty floral scent.Taking inspiration from the Far East, Batiste Oriental has fruity top notes, including apple, wild berry and grape, along with floral middle notes of Jasmine and Iris, with a base of rich coconut, sandalwood and cedar. The scent does stay in your hair but not in an overpowering way, occasionally you get a wiff and 'think what's that? Oh my hair!'

I like to wash my hair every other day at the moment, but after either the gym or netball my hair doesn't need a wash just a bit of a refresh. And this dry shampoo is just what I need, it leaves my hair look clean, smelling fresh. Having dark hair I understand the struggle of using a non-coloured dry shampoo, but I have not experienced any issues with it leaving white residue. As long you spray it 20cm away from your head and massage it through properly, you should have grey hair!

What your favourite dry shampoo?

Review || Seventeen On The Spot Foundation

Helloooo My Lovelies,

I hope you are all well. Got ANOTHER review again, sorry  but I have got to share this foundation with you all. Over the past month I have found myself reaching more and more for the Seventeen On The Spot Foundation. Seventeen claim that it offers full coverage and can help you get clearer skin in 4 weeks. Now this is a huge statement! Full coverage to me means clogging pores up and actually making skin worse, well that's has been my experiences with drug store foundations. So of course I have to say I was intrigued by it. I had read any reviews so I was heading in a bit blind. So I popped to Boots and snapped my bottle up. Firstly I have to say the colour choice is a bit limited with only 6 shades to choose from, however the shade Natural is perfect for me.

Starting off with the packaging. I love it. It comes in a squeezy silver tube with a pump and lid. I am super pleased it comes with a lid because even if pumps lock I still think it is good to have a lid because they do get messy. It great packaging as you are going to be able to get all the product out and not have that annoying little bit stuck in the bottom of the bottle.

The foundation has SPF 15 with is good. It will protect your skin from the sun, if we ever get any. The foundation is suppose to be full coverage, I actually think it is medium to full coverage. If I am being lazy and using my fingers to apply it, it looks like a medium coverage foundation. But when I use my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, it defiantly is full coverage. I have seen a lot of debate on the blogmesphere about the coverage of this foundation, some reviews say its light coverage, whereas some people like myself say its full. I really think it is how you apply it. As the Expert Face Brush is very dense, the product isn't moved over the skin as much, something like that anyway!

It has a nice texture it glides onto the skin. It does behave very much like a liquid foundation, it is more like a whipped creamy mousse. It can be fairly difficult to blend and can cling to dry skin, which can be a huge pain in the arse.

In terms of lasting power, I would say it lasts all day. I have actually put this foundation on in the morning had it on all day, then gone out for dinner and a few drinks in the evening still with the same foundation on, I have only had to power to reduce shine. It is a matte finish so I think that is why it stays put for so long. I give it a big double thumbs up for staying around for so long.

I would say it is suitable for all skin types, maybe not great for dry skin but it is okay if you blend it out properly. I would avoid it if you had super dry skin because it does have all these spot fighting ingredients which are going to dry the skin out.

In the way of clearing up my skin, I tried it for about 5 weeks so plenty of time to make a good judgement. the packaging claims to help you to get clearer skin in 4 weeks. I found that the amount of small surface spots I was getting reduced, by small surface spots I mean little white heads. However the amount of painful under-the-surface spots I got increased, but they weren't red just had a lump. So it did look like my skin was clearing up. I do actually prefer to have fewer of the large spots than the little white heads, so I do think the product works. It defiantly doesn't make your skin worse so that's always good, I find cheap foundations often do. It contains Salicylic Acid which is the famous acne fighting ingredient, it also has Iron oxides in which tries your skin and therefore your spots.

The foundation is £6.99 but I had a £2 off voucher. You can buy it from Boots stores or here online.

This is the Boots promo video for the foundation have a watch and see what you think.

Have you tried the On The Spot Foundation? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

February Favourites

Hello

I know it's a bit late but here we go...

No7 Instant Glow
This is essentially a highlighter chubby stick. It is ridiculously easy to use and that a nice finish to it. I don't usually go for a pinky toned highlighter but this is a exception to the rule for sure. It is literally so use to apply, all I do it twist it up run it along the tops of my cheeks bones the blend it out with a Real Techniques Stippling Brush. This is a great drug store product and I am very chuffed with it, if you can get you hands on this grab it while you have the chance, especially if you've saved enough points to get it for free.

Eylure Kimberly Fake Eyelashes
These lashes are my go to lashes, I have finally found lashes, which are perfect length, volume and lightweight. The lashes are lengthening and add texture to your eyelashes, they also provide a spiked look due to it separated lashes. The Kimberly lashes are by far the best from the Girls Aloud collection.

Jack Wills Purse
If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen my picture of my new purse. I had a River Island one with I had got for a birthday last year, but I was looking as bit worse for wear, so it was time to trade it in for a brand new shine one. While in Bath on medical business I decided why not quickly pop into Jack Wills and see there new collection, whist browsing the sale caught my eye. And there I saw it, laying their in all it's glory, with a big red felt pen line slashing the price! Well I thought it would be rude not too. It cost me £29, I know to some of you this may seem a bit pricey still but to me it was worth it, one of those right place right time moments, it was meant to be I guess. The purse has three sections one popper, at the front, four card slots with a pocket in front of it, then a coin section. The purse has a really nice brown leather and brass finish to it. I really love the pattern and colours, so happy !!

Spiced Vanilla Latte
I know Christmas is so over now but I am still loving spice based flavoured lattes. My current favourite being Spiced Vanilla Latte from Starbucks, it's so nice. It is Starbucks signature espresso combined with warm milk, rich vanilla, and subtle hints of cardamom and spice. And to top it off, it is topped with whipped cream, crushed vanilla bean and a touch of sugar. Absolute heaven!

Review || Superdrug Detoxifying Dead Sea Mud Face Mask

Hello my lovelies

Another review for you today! I have had this mask a while because I really needed to try it a few time to make sure it good because I really did think it was too good to be true! You know when you find a product and you just think 'where have you been all my life?' Well this mask is that product for me. I picked it up around Christmas time because I needed a detoxing mask as my skin was going a bit crazy, I had am awful breakout, dry patches and oil hatches all at the same time. I was tempted to splash out on Origins Clay Mask but as it being Christmas the cash was a bit sparse, so I settled for this one and I am very happy that I did especially that it comes with a £2.59 price tag, bargain alert! Clay masks are the best for unclogging pores and helping to clear blemishes up.

The mask goes on very easily for a clay mask, it has a really smooth texture and glides on. I often find that clay masks can be very difficult to work with as the can be very thick and really cold when applying to the face. The packaging is cute, it's a nice purple colour and I think looks like to a tad more expensive than it is. The smell is one of those love hate kind of smells, I love it and find it really relaxing but my mum couldn't stand it when she used it.

When you apply the mask it makes you skin tingle, not a painful sting but a 'I can feel my skin being detoxified' tingle! Also the face is a dark muddy greedy brown as you'd expect from a clay mask, but you do still look like an alien. When the mask starts to dry I have noticed that the areas with impurities, for me it's my nose and chin, stay a dark colour literally looks like the mask has sucked the imputations right out. I find this oddly fascinating, just shows the mask is doing exactly what it says.

Superdrug suggest that you leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes or until it goes stiff, which is what I usually do. This ends up being roughly half an hour once it's done, so I like to light a few candles and read my book, which is currently Pictures of Lily by Paige Toon.

My only niggle with this mask is that it is fairly difficult to remove with my water and your hands, you need to use a muslin cloth. But once it is off I can see the difference in my skin, it's smooth to touch, my blemishes has substantially reduced in size, it literally does everything it says on the tube!

This is a great face mask and I defiantly recommend it especially for the price!

Lots of Love
